The school will be closed for Winter Break beginning 12/16/24 through 01/03/25. Enjoy your well-deserved time off and we’ll see you back on campus when we return on Monday, 01/06/25.
Happy December! We are only two weeks out from completing our fall semester, which means we are nearly halfway through the Class of 2025’s senior year! I am just reaching out to let you know that the prices of our Senior package will be going up on December 13th. Currently, the cost for all the items in the package is $240. After December 13th, the prices will jump by $25. You are by no means obligated to purchase all the items and are able to choose items a la carte to best fit your budget. I also want to announce that we have been able to secure the In-N-Out truck and the Handels Ice Cream truck for our senior picnic, so we are guaranteed to have great food! Twenty-five bucks is a great price for both of those vendors. If you have any questions about any of this, or any other upcoming senior activities, please feel free to reach out. Camp CHLA is a 5-day, in-person healthcare career exploration camp offered twice per summer for high school students to explore, learn, and participate in the inspiring work that our team members do every day. At camp we host activities for students including but not limited to:
Presentations from select healthcare professionals detailing their personal career journeys and “day-in-the-life” details about their roles
Hands-on skills in health promotion and disease/injury prevention, such as CPR, first aid, body ergonomics and more
Networking opportunities for a group of students with similar interests in CHLA’s mission and vision as a potential career path
Real-life and up-close exposure to the fascinating world of healthcare and the lifesaving work happening throughout the hospital

Join 100 young people from across Los Angeles at this day-long event focused on civic engagement, local government, and community impact. Spend the day at Los Angeles City Hall learning from leaders across the City about the Neighborhood Council system, how local government works, and the vital role you can play in shaping the future of your community. Don’t wait – applications close Friday, December 20th.
